InsuranceVault collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, and insurance policy documents you upload. We extract structured data from your policy documents including policy numbers, coverage limits, premium amounts, beneficiary designations, and key dates.
We use your information to provide the InsuranceVault service, including storing and parsing your insurance policies, sending you proactive SMS alerts about time-sensitive policy events, and answering your questions about your coverage. We do not sell your individual data to any third party. We will never sell your data to insurance carriers.
By providing your phone number and opting in during account registration, you consent to receive SMS alerts from InsuranceVault about your insurance policies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating your preferences in your account settings.
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, field-level encryption for sensitive data at rest, and strict access controls. Your policy documents are stored securely and are only accessible by you and, if you choose to connect one, your authorized advisor.
If you connect a financial advisor or insurance agent to your account, they will have read-only access to your policy data. All advisor access is logged and visible to you in your account settings. You can revoke advisor access at any time.
You may export or permanently delete your data at any time from your account settings. Raw uploaded documents are retained for 90 days by default, after which you will be prompted to keep or delete them.
